The Indian Cookery Evening Course

 

Indian cooking is an art, diverse, delicious and not as difficult to cook as you might think, Indian is among the leading cuisines of the world.  Create authentic Indian Cuisine and learn about the key regional ingredients and tastes.

Our instructors are qualified Chefs with many years training in s ome of the top kitchens. We have created an informal and fun environment taking you through each recipe step by step. This is a hand’s on course with our instructors available to assist you thoughout your evening.

The evening starts when you will be welcomed by your course host and introduced to our fellow students. We will give you a short Health and Safety briefing and talk your through what we will be doing during your course.  At the end of the cookery we will move to the dining area where you will enjoy a meal of the dishes you have created along with a glass of wine and the company of fellow students.

Typical Course Dishes: 

  • A selection of Pickles and Chutneys
  • Potato and Chickpea Dhansak with Mini Puri
  • Onion Bhajis
  • Aloo Matar
  • Murgh Makhani
  • Perfect Basmati Rice

 During your Evening we will cover: 

  • Knife handling skills and chopping techniques   
  • Food preparation techniques using freshly prepared ingredients
  • The creation of a variety of different dishes
  • Food seasoning with natural flavours and ingredients
  • Dish presentation techniques

On our Indian Cookery Evening will teach you about creating an authentic Indian meal guaranteed to beat the even the best Indian takeaway.  Learn about the key regional ingredients and tastes, and spend the day cooking authentic Indian Cuisine using authentic Asian ingredients.  Our chefs are more than happy to answer queries and discuss their Indian travels and the development of Indian cuisine as a British favorite.

    Fresh Kaffir Lime and Coconut Posset, Cardamom Butter Biscuits, Mango Puree

During your evening we will cover:

  Food seasoning with natural flavours and ingredients

  Dish presentation techniques

Your course starts at 6.00pm when you will be welcomed with tea and coffee and the opportunity to meet your fellow guests and instructing Chef. We will give you a short Health and Safety briefing and talk your through what you will be doing during your evening.  At the end of your evening your efforts will be rewarded with a glass of wine as you sit down to enjoy your three course meal.
